In accordance with the approved plan of the Chairman of the Regional Council of the Public Movement for National Unity and Revival of Tajikistan, a scientific and literary conference on the theme “The Role of the Leader of the Nation in Strengthening State Independence and National Unity” was organized and held in the meeting hall of the Ovchi Kalacha village. The event was dedicated to the upcoming 29th anniversary of National Unity Day and the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.
Parviz Khalifayor, Head of the Social Development and Public Relations Department of the District Chairman’s Office, opened the conference and introduced its objectives. Insightful presentations on the historical significance of celebrating National Unity Day were delivered by Mutallib Mahmudzoda, a member of the Regional Council of the Movement and Deputy Director of the Pedagogical College of Khujand; Roziqjon Mutallibov, a well-known writer and journalist; and Mavluda Qalandarova, the honorary (volunteer) Deputy of the Council in the Ovchi Kalacha village.
A literary and cultural program prepared by the students of the local schools in the Ovchi Kalacha village added a festive splendor to the event. For his valuable contributions, the prominent writer and poet Roziqjon Mutallibov was honored with a commemorative gift from the Regional Council of the Public Movement for National Unity and Revival of Tajikistan.
In conclusion, Alisher Haydarov, Chairman of the Ovchi Kalacha Village Jamoat, expressed his gratitude to the guests for participating in the local residents’ festive event. He further called upon all participants to actively expand beautification and construction works in order to worthily welcome the auspicious celebrations of this current year.
