The official work of the Executive Body of State Power of Bobojon Ghafurov District uses the state symbols of the Republic of Tajikistan and elements of the symbolism of Sughd Region.
State flag of the Republic of Tajikistan
The flag consists of three horizontal stripes: red (top), white (middle, wider) and green (bottom). At the centre of the white stripe is a golden crown with a semi-circle of seven golden stars above it. Red symbolises freedom and heroism, white — purity and happiness, green — nature and development.
State coat of arms of the Republic of Tajikistan
The coat of arms depicts a stylised crown and seven stars at the top, framed by sheaves of wheat tied with the national flag. Below it is an open book on the silhouette of snow-capped mountains and a rising sun. The crown symbolises sovereignty, the stars — the valour of the Tajik people, the book — enlightenment and knowledge.
State anthem of the Republic of Tajikistan
The state anthem was adopted in 1991. Lyrics by Gulnazar Keldi, music by Suleiman Yudakov. The anthem is performed during official state events, receptions of foreign guests and national celebrations.
Symbolism of Sughd Region
The flag and coat of arms of Sughd Region are used at regional and district official events together with the state symbols of the Republic of Tajikistan.
