The Chairman of Sughd Region, Rajabboy Ahmadzoda, conducted an inspection tour in the Bobojon Gafurov district to review the progress of seasonal agricultural activities, the efficient utilization of arable lands, the implementation of second-crop cultivation, and the vegetation status of cotton crops.
In brigade No. 34 of the Saidxoja Urunxojaev farm, located in the Unji jamoat (rural community), the regional leadership officially inaugurated the second-crop sowing campaign for agricultural products. According to reports presented during the visit, the district aims to execute second-crop sowing across a total area of 3,960 hectares this current year, with 260 hectares already successfully cultivated to date.
During his meeting with local farmers, the regional governor emphasized that the rational management of every plot of land, coupled with timely second-crop planting and scheduled irrigation, plays a critical role in boosting agricultural output, supplying the consumer market with domestically produced goods, and maintaining price stability.
Subsequently, Rajabboy Ahmadzoda visited the Isfisor jamoat to assess the condition of cotton cultivation. Officials informed the Chairman that in brigade No. 10 of the Tursunboy Qushatov commercial cooperative public farm, cotton has been planted using an innovative method for the first time. The integration of modern technology and drip irrigation ensures highly efficient water and mineral fertilizer consumption, establishing a solid foundation for achieving high crop yields.
Concluding his working visit, the Chairman of Sughd Region, Rajabboy Ahmadzoda, paid a courtesy visit to the homes of Shukur Ibrohimov, a veteran of the education sector, and Abdusalom Murodov, a veteran of the agricultural sector. The regional leader warmly congratulated them on the upcoming 29th anniversary of National Unity Day and presented them with commemorative gifts on behalf of the Leader of the Nation.
