Dear Compatriots!
The solemn celebration of the anniversary of National Unity Day this year takes place at a significant stage when the people of our country, guided by the wise instructions of the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, are actively preparing for the grand milestone: the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.
National Unity, established by the noble people of Tajikistan under the leadership of our esteemed Leader of the Nation, is the primary source of all development, achievements, and successes of the nations and peoples of our Fatherland.
Following the signing of the General Agreement on the Establishment of Peace and National Accord in our country, firm steps have been taken toward reinforcing the foundations of peace, consolidating national unity, and developing and revitalizing various sectors of the national economy. Good cooperative and trade relations with countries of both the near and far abroad have been strengthened, and construction and beautification efforts have gained fresh momentum throughout the country. Noble, constructive intentions and a strong political will have enabled the Leader of the Tajik state to successfully bring the objective of building a democratic, law-based, and secular society to its logical conclusion.
It is precisely due to the inherent cultural devotion, wisdom, strive for solidarity, and peaceful nature of the honorable Tajik nation and its dignified, proud sons, as well as the steadfast will of the people and their universal support for the path chosen by the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, that we have reached these blessed days and a life of tranquility. Indeed, national unity has contributed to ensuring the supremacy of law, rescuing the country’s economy from crisis, and creating favorable conditions for a decent life for our citizens. It has proven that the Tajik people possess a profound sense of patriotism and eternal wisdom, and their great power of revival has become the foundation for such remarkable achievements.
Today, our beloved Tajikistan has achieved outstanding political, economic, social, and cultural milestones, securing its worthy place in the modern world. The peacebuilding experience of the Tajiks is evaluated by all international organizations as a unique historical phenomenon and is studied and utilized in countries across the globe that are suffering from civil conflicts.
Each year, you and I celebrate National Unity Day with immense pride and heads held high, deeply aware that unity and independence are two inseparable concepts. In accordance with the instructions and directives of the Chairman of Sughd Province, His Excellency Rajabboy Ahmadzoda, and with the aim of worthily welcoming this 35th anniversary of State Independence, beautification and construction works have gained an unprecedented scale in all cities and districts of the province.
The pillars of our state independence grow stronger year after year. Security and stability, which are the direct fruits of peace and national accord, provide even greater opportunities for the prosperity of our country.
