In connection with the declaration of 2026 as the “Year of Expanding Improvement and Construction Works and Strengthening National Identity,” and based on the activity schedule of the regional permanent working group approved by the Chairman of Sughd Province, the latest meeting of the advocacy group was held with the residents of Khistevarz village in the Bobojon Gafurov district.
The advocacy group consisted of Aminjon Sharifzoda, Editor-in-Chief of the Haqiqati Sughd newspaper; Jovidi Ashti, Chairman of the Sughd branch of the Union of Journalists of Tajikistan; Nodir Solijonov, a lecturer at Khujand State University; and Parviz Khalifayor, Head of the Social Development and Public Relations Department of the Bobojon Gafurov District Chairman’s Office. During the meeting, they conducted educational and awareness-raising work with the gathered public, providing engaging information on key topics. These included the historical significance of celebrating National Unity Day, the expansion of construction and beautification efforts in anticipation of the 35th anniversary of State Independence, the laws of the Republic of Tajikistan on countering corruption, extremism, and terrorism, as well as the noble initiatives of the Leader of the Nation regarding the signing of the amnesty law and the repatriation of the remains of national heroes to the homeland.
